Just uploaded another podcast. Hey that’s 7!! Episode 7: My Type of Victim

Jun 26th, 2019 by sexandethics

Madeline and I respond to the recent rape story in the news described by E. Jean Carroll, about her encounter with President Trump in a department store dressing room, about 20 years ago. We consider the burden we place on victims to be the right kind of victim or to inhabit a victim persona. We respond to some of the attacks on Ms. Carroll and reinforce the idea of the #metoo movement, that these experiences are commonplace, but also that responses to these kinds of experiences vary among victims.

Sex Education MUST include helping teens to understand the enormous number of victims, and the way victims come in all shapes, sizes, and vulnerabilities. Sex Education must also include how to respond to victimization. We help with that in our #METOO lesson, a new lesson for the SECS-C. Write me for it!
